Is Abby Grossberg: Tucker Carlson’s “Mordecai”?

Is Abby Grossberg: Tucker Carlson’s “Mordecai”?

Tucker Carlson has long trafficked in dog whistles and culture war grievances—but his rage toward Abby Grossberg, a Jewish former Fox producer who challenged him legally, seems to cut deeper. In classic authoritarian fashion, when confronted by a credible critic, Carlson didn't just fight back—he allegedly let that grudge fester into something uglier.

Like Haman targeting Mordecai in the book of Esther [Esther 3:4] Purim story, Carlson’s hostility toward Grossberg hints at something broader and more dangerous: when a powerful man can't take accountability, he looks for someone to blame—and too often, it’s the same old scapegoats.

In reality, Tucker Carlson—now mockingly known as “Qatarlson” for his apparent allegiance to Qatari interests—has long shown signs of being a closet Israelophobe. His recent behavior, parroting jihadist apologia and amplifying propaganda from the Iranian mullahcracy, has only made it more obvious. The situation worsened after his interview with Darryl Cooper, a known WWII revisionist with a disturbing ideological agenda. What once seemed like subtle bias has now metastasized into an unhealthy and increasingly dangerous fixation.

He carefully picks his guests who/in order to demonize. The fact he can have a Jew on, past/present, does not negate his [bigger picture] cynical aims

Esther Ch. 3:

'After these events, King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite and advanced him, and placed his seat above all the princes who were with him.

And all the king's servants who were in the king's gate would kneel and prostrate themselves before Haman, for so had the king commanded concerning him, but Mordecai would neither kneel nor prostrate himself.

Then the king's servants who were in the king's gate, said to Mordecai, "Why do you disobey the king's orders?"

Now it came to pass when they said [this] to him daily, and he did not heed them, that they told [this] to Haman, to see whether Mordecai's words would stand up, for he had told them that he was a Jew.

And when Haman saw that Mordecai would neither kneel nor prostrate himself before him, Haman became full of wrath.

But it seemed contemptible to him to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him Mordecai's nationality, and Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout Ahasuerus's entire kingdom, Mordecai's people.'
